When I was looking to change jobs, I was impressed by Potomac Valley. I liked the fact that the Administrator is the 3rd generation of her family in the business – it’s nice to have one family caring for other families. What impressed me most when I joined Potomac Valley is how long everyone has worked here. You can tell everyone loves their job and genuinely cares about the residents. It’s refreshing to work in a place where you are able to make a difference in someone’s life.
The special appreciation and individualized attention the residents get at Potomac Valley sets it apart from other nursing homes. The atmosphere and staff is loving, caring and happy. If I ever need the services of a nursing home, I will most definitely come to Potomac Valley.
I have enjoyed coming to work at Potomac Valley for the last 38 years and cannot imagine working elsewhere. As a housekeeper, I take pride in making sure the resident’s home is clean and tidy. What I love most about my job is that I get to interact with residents, families and co-workers all the time. Everyone is very friendly and that makes it nice to come to work every day.
“I am proud of the work that I do as a G.N.A. at Potomac Valley. Everyone gets along with one other which makes it a nice place to work. It feels like I’m part of a big family here so I have commuted from the District to Potomac Valley for the last 34 years.
Finding a job where you enjoy your work and the people you work with at the same time is not easy, but that is exactly what I have enjoyed most about working at Potomac Valley for the last eight years. At Potomac Valley, your work is appreciated and everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow. I’m glad to be part of a team that works well together.
